One of the drivers that brought about the birth of this business was the demand from parents of young people that we were already working with on expeditions, to provide longer adventure breaks during school holidays. Parents were amazed at the impact shorter expeditions had on their children and wanted us to provide a more substantial outdoor experience. Whether you want to traverse the infamous Brecon Beacons, climb one of the country's highest mountains in Snowdonia or experience the eerie stillness of Dartmoor, we are certain you will not be disappointed. We offer truly amazing adventures that will live long in your memor
It's not just about the kids. You adults out there that have always harboured a desire to walk in the wilder parts of the UK but maybe were a bit uncertain of your skills, the kit you might need, or just where to go, this is for you. Arriving on the Friday hopefully in the afternoon but if you can't get the day off, the evening is just fine. We'll have your tent and sleeping kit ready for you when you arrive. You decide what happens next. All of our activities are designed fully in consultation with you. What is for certain is that the days that follow will be among the most exciting and exhilarating days you have ever enjoyed. You will come away from the experience feeling refreshed, realising that a whole new world has been opened up for you.
Our holiday adventures are an ideal option for term time. Call us to discuss options. Our supported field trips offer also offer incredible value for money. Camping close to your area of study no time will be wasted with lengthy minibus or coach drop offs. The potential for multi day wild camps to allow you to work through larger areas of interest, offers an opportunity that few can match.
As an approved expedition provider for The Duke of Edinburgh's Award we are able to use our experience to ensure that expeditions are tailor made to fit the requirements of the participants. Whether at Bronze, Silver or Gold our expeditions will always be developed with the relative skills and experience of the participants in mind.
Whether you are entrusting us with your children for a holiday adventure or you are coming out to meet us for an adventure of your own, the Expedition Team will always be working hard to ensure you have the best possible experience. Staff working with us are all qualified to operate in mountainous areas of the UK and have as a minimum their Mountain Leader (Summer) award. All staff working with young people have current DBS and any staff leading teams will also have a current outdoor first aid certificate. Our knowledge of the areas we work with is constantly being updated through our regular visits and our personal experience.
The quality of our first contact with you is critical and it should come as no surprise that all early communications will be carried out by Glenn, the managing director of the Expedition Team. Where possible Glenn will arrange a face to face meeting to enable the fine details of your adventure to be personalised to meet your requirements. If your children are to form the client group then we would ask for them to also be present. We will bring with us maps and also use a range of other media to fully inform you of the possibilities presented by the area you have chosen. We will also bring with us any supporting information that we feel may help you decide on routes and activities for your adventure.
No less that two weeks before your start date, a full itinerary including route maps will be sent to you for your approval. We will provide you with a comprehensive kit list and will give you advice based upon our personal experiences with various items of kit. We will also be able to provide you with advice on local food outlets available to you. If you would prefer to live entirely from your rucksack we can also advise on suitable foodstuffs to take with you.
